Associate Trainers

Key Purpose:
To contribute to the growth of Drugtrain specifically by delivering high quality training to develop the capacity of organisations and individuals to provide high quality services to all those effected by substance use

  1. To deliver training courses and other learning and development interventions to clients as contracted by Drugtrain Ltd

  2. To deliver all our services to clients and course participants to the required high standard

  3. To behave in line with our brand, ethos and core values at all times when representing Drugtrain Ltd and to actively promote Drugtrain values

  4. Ensure all learning offered promotes people’s equality, diversity and rights

  5. Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to, including the risk assessment of training venue

  6. To ensure that course methods, workshops, learning interventions and presentations reflect our commitment to equality and diversity, and match the client business culture and objectives

  7. Ensure the transfer of learning from the ‘classroom’ to the work environment

  8. To deliver Drugtrain Ltd core courses and other courses by mutual agreement

  9. To design and deliver content and materials when required to supplement our existing approach and to suit your own and the clients’ preferred styles of delivery

  10. To ensure course content and materials are accurate and up to date with all current legislation

  11. Where appropriate attend planning meetings with a member of Drugtrain and/or the client, before the course to discuss course content, presentation and materials, or to have a conference call

  12. To ensure evaluation forms are given out and collect completed forms from each participant and be prepared to discuss training evaluation with a member of Drugtrain Ltd

  13. To complete a trainer evaluation at the end of each course/event

  14. To self evaluate after each event and to make changes and develop as appropriate

  15. To work to an existing course/programme, plan, notes and handout material including, where appropriate case studies and exercises or to devise a new approach (if separately contracted for this)

  16. To support the marketing of Drugtrain Ltd as appropriate

  17. To comply with all deadlines and other provisions as outlined in the Associate trainer contract

  18. Operate within Drugtrain policy and procedures as appropriate.
